The Lindstrand “A” series envelope is comprised of 24 gores up through the 180A size, the 210-330A are a 28 gore configuration which provides a smooth envelope surface which is ideal for artwork, corporate logos or banners.
Typically, ride balloon operators take advantage of our HyperlifeTM fabric option in the top half or more of their balloon. HyperlifeTM is the ultimate fabric for longevity and strength. Silicone coated on both sides, resistant to porosity, HyperlifeTM will go the distance for you.
Need to rotate your envelope? Our turning vents are fast and easy. Dual rotation vents are included on envelopes 140,000 -210,000; our quad vents are included on the 240 models and above.
Some other envelope options are a second row of throat nomex, GentexTM scoop liner, or Q-Vent deflation system.
Lindstrand envelopes can be installed over Aerostar, Cameron, Kubicek, Thunder& Colt and UltraMagic bottom end components with a logbook entry.
PARTITIONED BASKETS
Our partitioned baskets use a larger diameter stainless steel top frame and more robust construction to meet the demands of a ride business. The Single-T basket is ideal for the medium size ride envelope. The single pilot compartment is designed to contain the fuel cylinders (either 15 or 20 gallon stainless steel tanks) and is positioned on the right with passengers in the two longer compartments on the left side.
All burner and envelope controls are offset to the pilot’s area offering unimpeded access for the pilot without interference with the passengers.
Stainless steel steps, sidewall padding, pilot restraint harness, tow hook, side skids, are just some of the options available for all partitioned baskets

For the largest ride envelopes, a Double-T basket is preferred. The pilot and fuel cylinders are located in the center compartment directly underneath where the burners and all control lines are directed.
The passengers are divided into 4 compartments on either side of the pilot. This enhances safety and allows for easy communication between pilot and passengers.
An optional burner frame heat shield protects the passengers from radiant heat from a triple or quad burner configuration.
